Sometimes you get lucky with a shoot in the middle of November. Our shoot with Courtney was one of those times. Great weather, a great location, and a happy and willing client. Picking my favorites from this shoot was actually pretty hard for me to do.
I’ve noticed that I have started to get comfortable on my shoots. Same lenses. Same light. Same techniques. Etc… I think it is a pretty common trap to fall into. Especially if you are busy. So the last shoot I had I made myself at the end play with a few different lenses, especially since the client was willing. I’ve primarily used the 85mm for low-light storytelling. It is a very nice lens and I love it for shots like this. This shot ended up being one of my favorites, so it just goes to show that it pays off to play and experiment a little bit. Especially on the job:)
A Random Moment…
This portrait portrays one of the primary reasons I love photographing kids. They are so genuine… especially big sisters with their little brothers.
Working on turning Jason into a photog… It will compliment is programming skillz nicely.
